Announcement from the Executive Director
And so it is time for one more transition: at the end of January, I am stepping down from my role as Executive Director to make space for new leadership to build the next iteration of Apiary. I am so proud of the organization this idea has become. I am so proud of the team that we have built, of the work we have been able to offer, of the power of this community. Now, it’s time for a new vision to lead this incredible team through these next years.

Statement on Moyle v. United States
We are relieved that the Supreme Court has decided not to overturn the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA) for the time being.
Statement on FDA v. Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine
We are relieved that the Supreme Court has voted to keep mifepristone, a safe and effective drug that has been approved by the FDA for more than two decades, on the market. This means that medication abortion will still be available.
But let's be clear: this case never should have made it before the Court in the first place.

A love letter from the Executive Director
When the team and I first started talking about our year-end outreach I told them that at some point I was going to need to get emotional and nostalgic about them and all we’ve been through this year. Now is that time!
