There's a meme going around The Internet where people are asking others to share the one thing they're proud of in the incredibly difficult year that was 2021. And it turns out my answer is: this. This organization I have been dreaming about exists.

I am proud to be standing in solidarity and community with practical support organizations across the country. I'm proud that in a short amount of time (we launched in July?!) we already HAVE a community - we have friends and allies and folks who lean on us. We're here to be leaned on! In a world of seeming scarcity and ongoing hardship, we show up to lift burdens.

I am proud of my incredible co-Director who leads with grace and compassion and keeps me grounded. I'm proud of my co-Founders who continue to help shape the vision of our work while leading their own practical support organizations.

And of course I am proud of and grateful for you.

Our community is not just the people and organizations we work with. It's also you - our friends and family and allies. Thank you for all the support you have given us so far. 2022 promises to be as hard and complicated as the ones before it and we're going to continue needing your help to get through it.
