We’re in love! 💞

Dear friends,

Happy Valentine’s Day! As we celebrate this day of love, all of us at Apiary want to send our love to everyone we work with who makes this work as wonderful and meaningful as it is.

In honor of Black History Month, I want to particularly send my love to the Black leadership in this movement whose work and vision I admire and who I look to when thinking about how we, together, can change the world.

First I want to honor and thank two people who I am always just so thrilled to see, either in person or in my inbox - Oriaku Njoku (Executive Director of the National Network of Abortion Funds) and Erin Grant (Co-Executive Director of the Abortion Care Network). These two incredible leaders always impress me in their ability to stay grounded yet visionary, to be radical and expansive and also practical. They push me and so many of us to be better, stronger, gentler. Thank you both from the bottom of my heart.

And then of course there’s my dear, brilliant co-founder, Diana Parker-Kafka (Executive Director of the Midwest Access Coalition). Diana has been my cheerleader, my comrade, my confidante since day one. They have encouraged me when things got hard and pushed me to dream big about what this organization could become. In many ways we would not be here without them and for that (and many other reasons) I love them very much.

So happy Valentine’s Day to everyone who we love and who loves us. To the friends, family, partners, supporters, and everyone in between.

With love and solidarity,

Apiary for Practical Support

Speaking of incredible Black repro leadership, our beloved Ayé is currently taking a much needed and well deserved break so they were not able to send in their love letter to everyone they’ve worked with in the Blueprint program; instead we send our love to them! Blueprint folks, know that they would have written you a killer mash note. ❤️‍🩹

To our incredible Hivemind 🐝

In this month of simultaneous romantic and community love, I wanted to take this opportunity to express love and appreciation for all of you, our Hivemind community. Apiary started with all of you and continues to be guided by all of you and it is only with your support we continue to thrive.

With much love for your resilience, grace, humor and expertise,
Naduah

Dearest Pollination Station dreamers ✨

Rigor and solidarity feel like they have never been more essential. Our commitment to humanity, to collective liberation, and to interdependence is crucial both in abortion access organizing and world-building more broadly. I am honored for the support and commitment we have received within the Pollination Station. Thank you to all the pollinators and movement workers who have moved through as well as built into this learning space. And sending so much love to all the Black and Indigenous leaders I have been blessed to learn from and alongside. May we lean into and lead with love, but know that our anger is righteous and mighty.

💖 Sara
