Practical Support Blueprint
Our Blueprint Support program makes it easier for new practical support groups to get started.
The primary project of the Blueprint is our annual Cohort, a five-month intensive training program for up to 12 organizations, with up to two people per organization participating. In 2024 we will be focused on building volunteer driving programs; future training sessions may have different scopes based on community needs.
The Cohort combines new and existing PSOs together in collaborative and individualized learning collectives. This allows for new groups to learn firsthand from the experts and for all Cohort members to identify their needs, create essential tools, and receive personalized coaching. Upon completion, members also receive up to $20,000 in general operating funds to launch their services (because we understand that running a program is expensive!).
Since its founding, the Blueprint has distributed $280,000 to cohort members. In 2024 we expect to provide an additional $220,000 to this year’s cohort.

The Blueprint also provides customized technical assistance, serving as a first line of support for both existing and emerging groups. Groups new to abortion access are provided a full, 360-view of the landscape, the needs to avoid duplication of effort and ensure efficiency, and suggestions on how to get started. Current Hivemind members also receive technical assistance to refine and improve their programs.
